Totally forgot about this and it’s not really that interesting to many people, but when I saw Stone Sour at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids last April on the 1st ever Avalanche tour, Corey Taylor’s mother and grandmother were there. And I was standing next to them. It was really cool so see the women who turned him into the man that he is today.

And that is my lame/interesting story of the day.

Roommate was in the hospital.

Luckily, he still has his appendix, seeing as we thought that’s what was causing the issue. After 5 hours, we were on our way back to GV and he offered to buy me food for sitting with him the whole time. I suggested Toxic Hell because the Doritos tacos sounded excellent.

I got home and began eating. Not even 30 seconds after I get done, my insides revolt. ‘Twas not a pleasant experience. And I don’t regret it, although I know I still hate Taco Bell. And it still hates me back.

Trip to Mr. Burger was successful.

The burgers were actually really, really good. The fries were lacking a bit of flavor but the burgers were good enough to go back for them again. Definitely worth the trip.

End of the Year Food Discovery!!!

My friend and I have a To do list involving restaurants in the West Michigan/Allendale area before he graduates in 2 weeks. The places include (but are not limited to)

  • Mr. Burger
  • Checkers
  • Big Boy (Breakfast Buffet)
  • P.F. Chang’s
  • Captain Sundae (Ice Cream in Holland)
  • Goog’s (Burger place in Holland, best damn burgers out there)

And quite possibly more that I’m being absent-minded about. I’ve already burst his IHOP, Red Robin, and Steak & Shake virginity, so we’re off to a good start. Mr. Burger will be a first for us both, as will P.F. Checkers and Big Boy breakfast will be a first for me and the ones in Holland are just fan-fucking-tastic.

If anyone is interested on joining us for one of these extravaganzas or has any places to recommend, please let me know. You are MORE than welcome to join in.

So yeah, I met a band called Shinedown on Saturday. They were some of the most down to Earth people I’ve ever met.
